Back at Il Borro again! This was a larger wedding and the days events took place in a slightly different order (I am told in accordance with German tradition). After the wedding ceremony in the church there was a short walk back to the gardens around the swimming pool.
Once the newlyweds had greeted and thanked everyone they cut their wedding cake and everyone enjoyed some champagne and cake. People then mingled and relaxed around the pool enjoying the food and drinks for about 2 hours.
Next we had a few family photos and seeing as the weather was looking a little unstable we went for some photos around Il Borro. Once we came back from the vineyards the bride and groom went to freshen up and I proceeded to the reception area to photograph some of the details and tables for the evening reception.
Around 7pm guests came down to the Italian garden to enjoy some aperitivi. The dinner took place on the terrace and even though it was covered by a marquee as a safety measure in the event of rain it still looked wonderful. Just before dinner the weather improved so we went for five minutes to have a few more photos and enjoy the light.
The evening concluded with the launching of lanterns and then the party.
The whole event was beautifully organised by Louise Ferragamo and her team of wedding planners and coordinators, Made By Made – Luxury Wedding & Special Event Management.
