I enjoy photographing wedding accessories and details. Sometimes I do commercial photography and the geek in me loves the technical side of photographing an object. Still-life photography may bore many a photographer but I like the creative challenge.
It is so easy at a wedding to just take a pair of shoes and put them on the floor, or prop a bouquet on a chair. But for me, that’s obvious and seems a little uninvolved, too pedestrian.
Making Luxury Wedding Details Pictures
During your wedding, there is a lot to photograph and not a great deal of time. However, I will try to create something a little more meaningful with your wedding details pictures. You will no doubt put a lot of effort into choosing your details and accessories.
Also, they will most likely have cost a pretty penny. In respect of this, I want to make them look amazing. After all, the details are little statements about you. They are little gems of insight into your characters and personalities. They are a part of the wedding design and style and therefore say something about who you are as people.

I did not mention the wedding dress here as it’s not just a detail but more a major key element! The wedding dress deserves a mention all on its own!

As for a lot of people, we hadn’t planned a wedding before and he was very helpful explaining the process. We quickly signed an agreement with Jules and had him locked in for our wedding! We booked him very early, as we knew photographers can get booked up in advance, and throughout the lead up to our wedding Jules couldn’t have been more helpful. He told us exactly what he needed from us – things like a list of photo’s we’d like etc. He also helped us find a number of other vendors including hair and make up, and even a videographer two weeks before – as we had a last minute need for one! As we got closer to the event, we had lots of questions (probably nerves), but he was always on hand to help us out! On the big day, Jules was a superstar.
There is no other way to describe it! He was organised and made sure everyone was where they needed to be, so that we got the most beautiful wedding photos. There were small things we hadn’t thought of (like someone introducing us to the wedding dinner) and he made sure everything was perfect! He delivered the photos to us via an online portal really quickly, and they are all just gorgeous. We honestly wouldn’t have had such an incredible day without Jules there to help. We hope our paths cross again!

Working with Jules was an outstanding experience. After a quick look at some of his work on his website, I was dead-set on having him photograph our wedding long-weekend.
With a type-A personality and such emotional investment, I didn’t want to rush into anything, so I did my homework. And what I concluded was that Jules had nothing short of stellar reviews and stunning photos.
It was amazing to me that those photographers who I aspired to work with aspired to work at Jules’ level.
We felt comfortable with Jules even before meeting him in person at our wedding weekend. I’m sure that was due in part to the fact that we were consistently in contact over email and Skype in the lead-up to the wedding to coordinate everything (he basically doubled as one of the most competent wedding coordinators too).
His work extended beyond simply taking photos of us for three days. Jules helped us to organize the timeline of our events and days, and plan out when and where photos would be best.
Through his coordination, he was able to take photos without taking us away from our guests and celebrations, and for that we were very grateful.
But it was also his personality and energy that made it so easy and comfortable to work with him. This translated into not only strikingly sophisticated photos but also photos that captured my husband and I so naturally!
We were so excited to see Jules’ photos from our wedding, and thankfully, his quick turnaround time meant we were not left waiting long.
When we first looked at the photos, my husband and I couldn’t get over that we were those people in those editorial photos. His use of natural light is one of the most jaw-dropping elements of his work.

Jules know and work with great celebrants, hair/make-up stylists, florists and lots of great italian venues! He also work with his wife who is a wedding planner. They all know each other well and work perfectly as a team! It was great to be able to lean on Jules to organize all the details and get us in touch with the right people. He also answerd fast on email and always remembered the things we had asked about and agreed on before.
Jules made us feel absolutely comfortable during the whole day and photoshoot with his charm and good sense of humour. He told us exactly where to stand/look and how we could look our best on the photos. He also speak english perfectly, which makes it very easy to communicate! We we’re absolutely blown away by Jules knowledge of our venue Castello Banfi. He knew exactly where to stand at exactly what time to get the absolute best photos whit the light and Tuscan sunset.
Now we are blessed with over a thousand absolutely amazing photos and of course the memories of our amazing wedding day! Already the day after, Jules sent us a selection of beautiful edited photos so we could post on social media. A little over a week later, whilst still on our honeymoon, we received the rest of the photos. First about 150 edited photos, and then all the photos. We are so thankful for Jules’s fast service on delivering the photos to us. The quality of the photos could not have been better.
