The villa lies on the shores of Lake Como in the village of Laglio. The quiet road outside gives away little idea of the beautiful location inside. Through the gates, you enter into the private car park and then walk a few seconds to the villa.
The first thing you notice is the lovely terraces and levels of gardens that connect the villa to the lake. The boat dock is impressive with its stairs and stone walls that lead the eye towards the main villa that lies in the background. I start the wedding day photographing the bride and groom prepare separately but are both at the villa. The groom gets ready alone and will be leaving in advance as he is driving a classic Mercedes to the church. The bride gets ready with some help from her mother. Once dressed, she meets her father and her parents accompany her to the church.

The wedding ceremony will be at the Anglican Church of the Ascension in Cadenabbia. The small town of Cadennabia is about 30 minutes further north of Laglio. The ceremony is a very emotional experience, friends and family are all quite emotional.
After the tears of joy and excitement at the start of the ceremony, there are tender vows. Once the service concludes they newlyweds exit to romantic soap bubbles and cheers. While we return to the villa, we stop briefly to take a few photos, but soon we are back at Villa Regina Teodolinda. There are cocktails and nibbles, and everyone enjoys lovely views and atmosphere as they celebrate.

During the cocktails, all the guests relax, mingle and socialise. We have a few family photos and another short photo session for the newlyweds.
The dinner reception will be on the gravel area in front of the villa. There is an indoor dining room and a covered external wedding banquet area. But these are definite second choices to having your wedding reception outside at Villa Regina Teodolinda.
The views are perfect, and the fairy lights in the trees and candles create a magical atmosphere. There are some funny speeches and everyone enjoys delicious food and wine. This Villa Regina Teodolinda wedding concludes with a traditional cake-cutting accompanied by sparklers and then a lot of dancing!
