This couple elope to Italy and bring their dog too! They are having a San Quirico d’Orcia elopement.
We start the day at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. This impressive resort is located just a few minutes from Montalcino. The bride and groom have one large room and are able to get ready separately and not see each other. Once they are both ready they want to have a first-look.
They will meet each other and see each other before the ceremony. They can then spend a few moments together exchanging words and feelings before they go to their wedding.
The first look takes place just outside their room at Castiglion del Bosco on the private street that unites the entire hotel. After some emotional moments, we start to walk towards the car park to get our cars and go to the town hall. The groom is unaware that the bride has organised a beautiful classic car for them to drive to the town hall. As we wander up the driveway he is casually admiring the car, and then she reveals that it is his for the day. He is a fan of classic cars and convertibles so he is very happy!
We all leave Castiglion del Bosco and drive about 25 minutes to San Quirico d’Orcia. Their wedding takes place in the town hall in the centre of the town. They are eloping in Italy but as they are having a civil wedding they require two witnesses. The ceremony is fun, emotional, meaningful and once complete the party starts.
They have sign the paperwork and then enjoy a fresh glass of prosecco. After, we go for some photos around San Quirico d’Orcia and then we leave to take a scenic drive back to Castiglion del Bosco.
On the way, we stop to admire the Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta. This chapel is part of and makes one of the most popular views in Tuscany. We take some photos using the dramatic landscape and of course the wonderful car. We also stop in a field of sunflowers.
Back at Castiglion del Bosco we take some more pictures with their lovely dog. My photos stop here as they wish to change clothes and enjoy a lovely relaxed meal after the elopement in Italy.
