Il Salviatino wedding. Just outside Florence nestling in the soft hills of Fiesole Il Salviatino is a stunning villa and luxury hotel.
If you decide to elope to Italy one of the most important choices you will need to make is selecting a photographer for your elopement. I was contacted by this couple who wanted to elope to Italy, they had already chosen to have an Il Salviatino wedding. On talking to them I knew it was going to be a great event. They trusted me and we had great communication which is really important to get the best results.
The format is simple but perfect. They get ready in different rooms of the hotel. I photograph the groom’s preparations and then I go to the bride’s suite. Once she is ready she makes a wonderful entrance to the ceremony. She glides down the main stairs and the groom meets her halfway down the aisle. The elopement ceremony is personal, meaningful and makes an emotional connection with everyone. Strictly speaking, this is not an elopement as a handful of guests were present. However, it certainly feels like an elopement with that magical air of spontaneity and romance.
After some champagne and canapes, I take them for photos in a few different locations in the countryside.
Finally, the day concludes in style with a lovely romantic candlelit dinner on a private terrace.
