Castello di Banfi Wedding Elopement

castello di banfi wedding elopement

I am happy to photograph this stylish Castello di Banfi wedding shoot for Primavera Weddings because I love this location. I will always remember this wonderful wedding at the same location.

Banfi heralds from 1978 thanks to the will of the Italian-American brothers, John and Harry Mariani. From the beginning, the goal of the two brothers was to create a state-of-the-art winery. Their desire of combining the most advanced science in the vineyards for the production of premium wines results in some amazing wines. The castle itself dominates the land but is not imposing.

Gettting ready – Castello di Banfi wedding

I start with a few pictures of the views and the property which is so vast I could easily spend a week there just photographing every corner and scenery. From the castle, there are 360-degree views over the vineyards. The couple is having a first-look and then a quick blessing ceremony. The groom is ready and so I take a few photos of him adjusting his attire in a beautiful living room in the castle.

I then concentrate on the bridal details and the beautiful bouquet by Roberto Fiori which complements beautifully the classic Chanel n. 5 perfume and the golden Jimmy Choo shoes. The bride flaunts a contemporary look styled by Cherie Spisso.

This works well with the romantic wedding gown by Manuel Mota for Pronovias. With both of them ready the first-look happens at the entrance to Castello di Banfi.

They greet each other and playfully talk and flirt and then we go to the ceremony. The ceremony overlooks the lovely vineyards that flow into the horizon. The florist creates a lovely floral arch to frame the beautiful views.

Portraits at sunset after Castello di Banfi wedding

After the ceremony, we head to the countryside for some sunset shots, my favourite part of the day every time I shoot a wedding or an elopement in Italy. The light, colors, and shapes are wonderful. I love the location as it is an ideal backdrop.

I am in my element as the couple wanders here and there enjoying the tranquility and romance of the setting. Castello Banfi prepares a romantic table for 2 with some of their contemporary table sets and Roberto brilliantly and harmonically with golds, ivory and soft pinks brings some softness to this contemporary look.

Hopefully, these images will inspire anyone considering to elope to Italy.
