Villa Baroncino

Villa Baroncino lies in a delightful piece of countryside not far from the famous hill top town of Cortona which in recent years has had much publicity due to the book and subsequent film “Under the Tuscan Sun”. I love photographing in the countryside and seeing as it is so lovely around the villa I will jump at any chance I get the chance to take photos in one of the many locations by the venue.

The wedding ceremony took place in Cortona cathedral and after a group photo with everyone on the steps of the town hall we went for a few photos around Cortona. On the way back to the Villa Baroncino I saw a lovely field of sunflowers so we stopped for a few photos, it was spotting with rain and thunder clouds were moving in but who cares, between the rain, the pollen and the bees it just made the moment more exciting.

As soon as we arrived back at the villa the heavens opened and we had torrential rain for over an hour. Sure the rain wasn’t ideal because the cocktails had to tak place inside but everyone laughed about it. After speeches the rain eased and a few rays of sunshine warmed the air, we jumped in my car and went for a few more photos in the now somewhat drenched countryside.

Here are a few photos from this wedding in Cortona and reception at Villa Baroncino.
