Weddings in Tuscany: Late June and July for Sunflowers

Weddings in Tuscany should include some of the Tuscan scenery otherwise what’s the point in you coming all the way to Italy! One of the most quintessential scenes for weddings in Tuscany is probably a field of sunflowers so it is no surprise that people ask me to have photos with the sunflowers. However the sunflowers are a seasonal crop and so are only available for a limited time during the year. Of course it is impossible to guarantee that there will be a field near your wedding venue but I am fortunate to live in an area where there are always many and finding some is pretty easy.

The important thing to remember is that the sunflowers are generally around from late June and most of July after that with the high summer temperatures they wilt and die off quickly. Anyway enough with the agriculture… here are a few sunflower photos taken near Cortona during a wedding in Tuscany at Villa Baroncino.
