Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco wedding

Lovely sunset portait after Castiglion del Bosco wedding

This is actually a 3 day Castiglion del Bosco wedding celebration. I am posting the main wedding day first but you can scroll down and see the Day 1 BBQ Party and the Day 2 Rehearsal dinner in the Members Cantina.

Castiglion del Bosco is now managed by Rosewood chain of hotels. It is a very exclusive resort in the hills near Montalcino. The couple selects the venue for its privacy and intimacy as they celebrate their wedding with just family and close friends.

Day 3 – Castiglion del Bosco wedding

The wedding day is finally here. After two days of fun and celebration, it is time to take care of business, this is what we all came for! The bride and groom will get ready in one of the villas in the countryside. I find the villa down a white road near the member’s cantina and winery. The groom is getting ready with his brother upstairs while the bride is with her mum and sister downstairs.

The guys are exchanging the usual sort of backchat that you can imagine between brothers and are in good spirits. They help each other out with the tricky things like suspenders, bowties, and cuff-links. The bride and groom agree that they would like to have a first-look so that they can see each other and share some intimate moments together before the church wedding.

So, once I finish taking photos with the groom I head downstairs to photograph the bride. Her mother and sister help her get into her wedding dress and put on her accessories.

Once the bride is ready an emotional dad arrives to see his princess. There are a few tears but they are sweet tears of joy.

The groom is patiently waiting outside the villa. The bride is literally jumping out of her skin with excitement to see him. Without further delay, they have their first look and share some private time together. This is important to them as they have things to say to each other that they will not be able to say during the wedding ceremony.

After, we head to the ceremony where a lovely country decor of olive greenery, roses and candles marks the entrance to the church. On completing the ceremony, they exit the church to petals and cheers.

The olive arch outside the church becomes the backdrop for some family photos and then they enjoy an aperitif on the restaurant terrace which has lovely views of the valley.

While the guests enjoy some drinks and canapes we head to the golf course for some sunset couple shots. Back to the reception, I photograph the lavish table full of crystal candelabras, candles, and roses.

The bride has Italian roots and some traditional Italian desserts like tiramisu are served together with the wedding cake. The day ends with the first dance, father and daughter dance, and party. A very memorable 3 day Castiglion del Bosco wedding in Tuscany!

Images from Day 1 – BBQ Party Castiglion del Bosco

Everyone arrives at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco for the wedding weekend. There is a nice informal welcome dinner at a restaurant in the heart of Castiglion del Bosco. A simple country decor with white flowers and tender greens enhance the charm of the place. Everyone enjoys some lovely barbequed food.

Before the dinner starts, I grab some romantic shots with the couple and we conclude the evening with a couple of portraits at night.

Images from Day 2 – Members Cantina Dinner Castiglion del Bosco

The day before the wedding, an elegant dinner takes place in the Castiglion del Bosco Members’ Cantina. A very contemporary decor with just glass vases and candles complements the look of the cantina and creates an elegant atmosphere. The couple is elegantly dressed for the occasion, a few casual shots of people enjoying their evening and of course, we are in a cantina so a shot of the couple surrounded by barrels of delicious Brunello di Montalcino wine is mandatory to end this Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco rehearsal dinner.

At another wedding, due to poor weather, I photographed a wedding ceremony in the Members Cantina. it is a lovely space. Very hard to photograph but fun!
