This early spring Lake Como elopement is blessed with good weather. First of all, the couple gets ready at the Filario Hotel and Residences. You can find this elegant modern hotel on the shore of Lake Como just opposite the famous Villa del Balbianello. They choose to have their wedding at Villa del Balbianello. The villa is an extremely popular venue due to its suggestive location, amazing views, delightful gardens and impressive architecture.
The bride and groom get ready separately. As the bride finishes her own hair and makeup I take a few photos of the groom who is patiently waiting. The plan is that they will go to Villa del Balbianello together in a private boat transfer. The groom waits for his bride at the end of the pier. She walks from the hotel across the dock and down the pier to meet him. He turns around and is super happy to see her. They both get in the boat and 5 minutes later we are already at the private dock of the villa.
Once at the villa, we walk up the little hill to the loggia at the top. They enter the ceremony together, it lasts about 20 minutes, there are a few tears and much joy! After, we visit the gardens of the villa, they are stunning and offer endless angles and inspirations for your elopement photos. Because the sun starts to set behind the hills that surround the lake we get back in our private boat. We enjoy a trip around the lake and finish back at their hotel. In conclusion a couple of photos in front of the hotel on the shores of Lake Como.
