Terre di Nano wedding

Terre di Nano wedding venue and country house is about a five-minute drive from Montepulciano. Terre di Nano is one of my favorite wedding venues, as it’s a relaxing location with stunning views.

Actually, I may also be a little biased toward this location as I live quite close by. It’s always nice to work close to home.

Terre di Nano Country House wedding venue

This couple is from England and has chosen this venue for its natural beauty. The also chose Italy because they want to get away from the potential rain in the UK.

Sadly, this wedding gets off to a tricky start due to the terrible weather that morning! This causes quite a bit of anxiety as it is certainly not the dream Terre di Nano wedding they imagined. Thankfully, even if there is bad weather in Italy during the summer, it is usually swift to pass. That morning the weather is terrible, and everyone has good reason to be concerned. However, a few hours later, and the situation has done a complete reversal. The sun is back, and it’s a perfect day!

Morning preparations and getting ready

The bride and groom are both getting ready for their wedding at Terre di Nano. The boys are in the main villa, and the girls are in a separate cottage outbuilding. I quickly move back and forth from both locations to photograph their preparations, as well as a few bridal accessories and images of the property.

Church wedding in Montichiello

We leave Terre di Nano and go to Montichiello for their church wedding. This little picture-perfect town is a short ride from the villa and a lovely experience for the guests as it really is a quaint, typical, medieval village in Tuscany.

The church is simple but beautiful, and the wedding ceremony goes smoothly. They exit to a confetti shower, and then we have a fun group photo on the steps to the church. The guests walk back to the village entrance to catch their transportation. While they go back to Terre di Nano, I take the newlyweds for some photos in Montichiello before joining everyone at the villa for the wedding reception.

The couple arrives at Terre di Nano in a vintage Alfa Romeo, the guests are waiting for them and greet them with cheers and excitement.

Terre di Nano wedding Reception & Party

Back at the villa, there is a feast of delicious Italian cut meats, cold salads, dips, cheeses, and more. Everyone enjoys the drinks and tries all of the delicious local food. There is plenty of chance for everyone to mingle and talk to each other.

At the right moment, we also take some family photos using epic views as a backdrop. Just before dinner during sunset, I take the couple for some portraits in the olive grove, and we make use of the beautiful light.

Dinner and speeches take place in the olive grove under the stars. It really is a lovely setting, and the string lights add to the atmosphere.

After a delicious homecooked meal, there’s cake cutting and dancing to conclude a perfect wedding at Terre di Nano. It’s a great venue for sure, especially for mid-size weddings. Could it be the perfect venue for your wedding in Tuscany?
