A wedding in Portovenere

Portovenere is a part of the Cinque Terre, and has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Wandering around this stunning seaside village it is easy to see why it is of such historical importance and so popular to visit.

I was there to photograph a civil wedding ceremony that took place in the Castle Doria which sits on top of Portovenere in a very commanding position. The walk up the hill is a little demanding on a hot day but when you get there it really is worth it!
