This wedding in Rome took place at the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli which is located in Piazza della Repubblica. The church is huge and really needs to be seen to understand just how large it is. After the ceremony we went for a short trip around a few famous Roman sites and then returned to the Piazza della Repubblica for the reception which took place at the Boscolo Exedra hotel.

The photos on the steps were taken behind the Campidoglio, the side streets was also in the surrounding area. Fortunately it was sunny so it made up for the freezing wind and when it is really cold the trick it to not show it! Check out these photos from a wedding in Rome.

Villa Grazioli sits on the hills surrounding Frascati and has a dominant position looking over Rome, unfortunately due to the humidity the view wasn’t great but it didn’t matter as the ceremony was indoors and the drinks were on the lawn at the front of the villa. The room where the wedding was held was ideal, and a very Italian location with the old frescoes and ceilings it was definitely atmospheric. As usual here are some of my favorite photos from this wedding at Villa Grazioli.

Italian Wedding Photographer Jules

Wedding photography in Rome is always a bit of a challenge as you need some luck with the traffic and the tourists! We planned to go around a few different locations and so I knew that time was going to be very limited in a each spot, we were fortunate that the traffic was flowing and so we did manage to get around without losing too much time sitting in traffic.

The other problem with Rome is that there are too many locations for photos, literally anywhere in the historic centre is a fabulous spot. Here I have put a few of my favourites that include some wonderful views from the terrace where the wedding reception was held. I am really looking forward to the next time that I can photograph a wedding in Rome.

Italian Wedding Photographer Jules

Priya and Massimo had their wedding in Rome at the Campidoglio on May 25th 2008. The ceremony took place in the highly ornate Sala Rossa. Wedding photography in Rome is always a little more hectic as is the case in any city; the problem in Rome is to choose where to go and have pictures as you could spend weeks visiting all the great locations! In this situation it was easy as after the wedding we headed off to Villa Grazioli in Grottaferrata.

Along the way we grabbed some photos on Via Appia Antica (this was the most important ancient Roman road). Villa Grazioli has some beautiful rooms and gardens that made it easy to capture some unique moments.
