Portofino was very busy but I would assume it is always crowded when the weather is fine. Some ridiculously over the top luxury boats blocked quite a bit of the view of the town as there really were some giant boats moored in port. I had a wander around town before the wedding and got a few ideas for some photos but that turned out to be a waste of time as when we walked down from the church after the wedding they had already built a stage for a concert in the middle of the square, that ruined my game plan so we did something else. Here are a few photos from this wedding in Portofino.

Portovenere is a part of the Cinque Terre, and has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Wandering around this stunning seaside village it is easy to see why it is of such historical importance and so popular to visit.

I was there to photograph a civil wedding ceremony that took place in the Castle Doria which sits on top of Portovenere in a very commanding position. The walk up the hill is a little demanding on a hot day but when you get there it really is worth it!

Santa Margherita Ligure on the Italian Riviera in Liguria is perhaps less well known that its famous neighbour Portofino, however it merits a good visit as it has many attractions. I was asked to photograph a wedding in the chiesa di San Giacomo that sits beside Villa Durazzo. The church is a wonderful example of baroque architecture and styling.

Villa Durazzo Palace is a beautiful villa surrounded by gardens and of course very conveniently located at just 100 metres from the church. The villa is actually used for all the civil weddings as it has a large wedding hall on the first floor. Here are a few photos from the wedding, I particularly enjoyed photographing inside the villa so I have decided to share a few more of those images.
